Comanche jeep2/27/2023 ![]() There were only 952 Comanches built in 1992 which was the last year for them and how many of them were 2 WD with a short bed ? I would not be afraid to get in this pickup and drive it on a 500 mile trip right now!! and it would probably make it on 1 tank of gas!! I recently drove this pickup around town for 2 weeks and was getting worried about gas so I filled it back up and it took 8 gallons. The AC tries to work but is low on freon (R12) The fuel gauge is not working at present but I plan on repairing it. The interior is good for the age and mileage. I hate to sell it because it gets better fuel mileage than all the 27 pickups I have owned before. It has several small dents but still wears all original paint and has no sign of any previous body damage. It has some surface rust from the years but no serious rust problems. ![]() I'm not stupid. This is a very good running dependable pickup. I'll never buy a product from a dealer that says they'll put my name on the car once I reserve it. And yes, they got the vehicle for what I told them to pay - not some stupid and unreasonable amount, but a reasonable profit for a vehicle at the end of the month. If people cannot handle this model, you deserve what you get. Yes, my parents were called the next day. I actually negotiated for my parents on their last few vehicles and I have had them walk out when the dealer wasn't going to meet a fair price. This is where the fun starts and you can make the sales manager's life miserable (at least before COVID). But, once you get over the notion of how they are going to try to game you, then you have an equal chance to game them. Point out every flaw especially if they are charging you full pop.I've sold cars so I know how the game is played and hate buying a car even more knowing what I know. And never do anything until you walk around that product and devalue the vehicle like the dealer does to your trade. Never sign on the line until you have actually tested THE ONE YOU ARE BUYING. Never buy a product that you have never tested. And to think idiot dealers are putting market adjustments on most vehicles - something the Japanese dealers were doing as far back as the 1970's. I don't like how the dance is conducted now - "take it or leave it".
